Tazo Tea Company was founded in 1994 by Steve Smith along with his business partners Stephen Lee and Tom Mesher. tazo is a tea manufacturer and distributor company based in Portland, Oregon. It is well known for its New age style marketing and product labeling.

Tazo Tea is a high quality brew of tea which was created by a group of "Tea Scholars" who wanted to create a beverage that not only tastes great, but soothes psyche and enlightens spirit and hence the tazo formula was made.
