Pepto Bismol has been came in to existance since from 1920's, in early days it was sold as soda. It is a medicine used to soothes the digestive systems. This medicine is used to cure "cholera infantum", which strucks infants suddenly. The formula is made by pepsin, bismuth, Zinc salts, salol. The Pepto Bismol product was first manufactured by Norwich Pharmacal Company in Norwich and named as Bismosal.
In 1919 Bismola's name was changed as pepto Bismol.It has became Norwich leading nonprescription drug.At present it has branches all over the world. These products relieve upset stomach symptons and diarrhea.It can be used to relive heartburn, nauesa. Pepto Bismol is available as a liquid, chewable tablet, and easy-to-sallow caplet.
How to use:
- Pepto-Bismol contains chewable tablets may be chewed or dissolved in mouth.
- For liqiuds we have to shake well before using and take according to dosage.
Warnings:
- Avoid these products if the patient is suffering from ulcer, allergy, black stools.
- Stop these product and consult to the doctor if the sympton is worse.
